Monster Soup

MONSTER SOUP began late one night as a simple sketch of a sad-looking zombie. Rather than turn the page and draw something else, Devin wanted to know more about this sad fellow. By morning, the groundwork for MONSTER SOUP was well underway. For the next year and a half, she continued to brainstorm, redesign characters, strengthen the plot, and gather her courage. While most of the concept work lives in several sketchbooks, the comic itself is all digital, and is created with Adobe Photoshop (panels, text, balloons, touch-ups), Paint Tool SAI (roughs, inks, color), and a Wacom Intuos2 Bamboo Connect (as of Chapter 4).
