I remember a time when Orphans were tragic. They made you feel sad because, like Batman, their parents are deeaaaaaad.
Then I watched Oliver Twist, and “please sir, I want some more” became synonymous with beating poor children. And from that day forth, I became a horrible person who laughs at those lacking parents.
Those are some huge bedrooms.
Well, Hornet, six students per, and it IS a castle, so lotsa space is probably to be expected. Oh, and also, it’s a comic.
I think our dear Jacklyn might find some colleagues around.
Why do I want to pet Noni’s cute poufy pink hair in every single frame?
“Back when the castle was used as an industrial slaughterhouse…everything turned out fine actually”
Noni: “A few students did go missing.”
Amanita: “That scientist guy again?”
Noni: “Well, for a few of them. And they weren’t really abducted, they volunteered for extra credit. Some were really desperate.”
Bo: “What about the rest of them?”
Noni: “That…was an unfortunate greek house party involving both a frat and a sorrority on campus. Turns out those beer kegs are heavier than they look, especially when you try to get them across a lake…”
Luke wants to know if there are any spare orphans still kicking about, for snacks.
Noni: “Water under the bridge now. Actually that’s where they sank the corpses…in the water under the bridge.”
