Finally, the introduction of one of my favorite characters. Oh, Noni, you little freak, I love you. Though I like all of my characters, this one is fun to write and draw.

The Voting Things
I can already tell Noni will be a great character, but it looks like she’s letting the bread dough rise under her chef’s hat. LOL
Seriously huge hat, is she overcompensating for something?
LOL! You should have seen my earlier sketches of the character. The hat started to get larger each time I drew her. I actually attempted to downsize the hat some when drawing the upcoming pages. The 2010 Christmas image shows the hat nearing that large phase.
I’ve been eagerly awaiting this character! Can’t wait to see more of her- she’s adorable!

there is much assumption that Noni is female…this is unpossible as females DO NOT BELONG IN THE KITCHEN! That is the males domain, unless the female is particularly skilled or a master of chocolates / sauces they may only assist in the kitchen or maintain the posistion of “scullery staff”.
Is it any consolation that Noni is both male and female? (Though identifies as “female”.)
I’ll buy that for a bowl of chili. 8^) anyone want more whole wheat sourdough bread?
So, is Noni Gender Fluid in the sense that her gender can be either/and/or/both or is she, as a type of daemon/fey (erring on the side of daemon here) able to modify her body/is both at once/is neither but identifies as such? Just wondering.
Or, like many demons, Noni doesn’t actually have a gender.

As a student in a culinary arts program, I can fully accept a Puck/Pan/Silenus/Demon/Imp thing as our deity.
Oh my Noni, this imp is adorable.

I’m not sure if anybody has mentioned it. I combed through the earlier comics and didn’t see it.
But I get a Jim Hensen vibe from “Oubliette Castle.” It’s as if it were a place they were sent to be forgotten about.
Jareth’s Summer cottage, then, for want of a Jim Henson, he made the mistake of hiring Tim Burton for the design. It didn’t quite match the cheery, Camelot-esque goblin-free fortress he wanted so he put it on the market.
