Ch4 P1 – The Munchies
Zombies, though at some height in the food chain, I always wondered if they carried around parasites or other nasty creatures. Or perhaps Bo is merely imagining them. Oh, about the bare shelves, those were once full with odds and ends when the place served students. Everything’s now kept in the kitchen, away from possible thieves. (Noni doesn’t trust the new house guests.)

unfortunately, I chose to run through my reading list in the morning before breakfast, and this is what i get…
still worth it. love the comic.
second visit to this page; it works better if you read from the bottom upwards
That’s okay. It doesn’t look like he’s using those brains.
I don’t think it matters much to him…For some years now, his social life has been pretty much dead-in-the-water. Why else would he be so intent on writing in his journal, other than to perhaps be preserving his memories while they still last?
Om nom nom nom nom nom.
Not sure whats worse, that there are worms eating at Bo’s brain, or that he is imagining there are, more so he doesn’t seem to mind.
EWWW!
Still glad you’re back. I was getting bored.
Only real criticism I have so far is this place is cavernously huge-like grand central station for a half a dozen people. If that is your intention, then I guess it’s working. Otherwise, just looking forward to more strips.
Remeber, the castle was once a school housing many more people. The “huge/empty” vibe is everywhere from the dormatory rooms to the Big Room (Auditorium? Gymnasium?) that Jacklyn stumbled into. Even the bathroom was big and empty!
Bo (writing): “September 15. Mood: apathetic. Listening to: the maggots chewing up my occipital lobe. Still stuck at this castle. Wish they restocked the bar, it’s the only thing that kills the maggots without smelling like formaldehyde. I don’t care if it’s dehydrating, at least mummification lets me keep my cognition and I don’t have to worry about drying out anymore! I was due to meet with Dr. Imhotep before I got stuck here…”
Amanita: “Look, I said I was sorry, all right? You didn’t have to clear out the bar!”
Noni: “Hmph…I am doling out any and all alcoholic beverages from now on. What’s left of them, anyway…your drinking contest wiped out 90% of my liquor stocks!”
Pepper: “And she still managed to beat me, too! HOW DID SHE DO THAT?!”
Technically, I would say that they were in the Temporal Lobe, judging by the positioning of the images. Plus, that is where audio signals are recorded.
Well if they were chewing on the temporal, it’s likely they’d hit part of his linguistic area too…and by the angle of the pull-out, the forward occiput or parietal wouldn’t be too far off, either.
I am so glad you are back for the new year, I have been patiently waiting for more Monster Soup. I would call it ms for short but then it would sound like I wanted multiple sclerosis.
I think that, too, when I abbreviate it to MS. It also reminds me of Microsoft, Morgan Stanley (stock), or more recently, Manga Studio (the new art program I’m wanting to buy). But Multiple Sclerosis remains at the top. ;)
But it was only a fantasy
The wall was too high as you can see
No matter how he tried he could not break free
And the worms ate into his brain.
You’ve obviously seen the writing on The Wall.
