I’m planning to keep the commentary absent from this chapter. I’m also figuring out the best way to update my mirror sites. The main reason; if I happen to have a typo or something that needs corrected, I had to update all of my mirror sites with the new page. This grew tedious really fast, especially when the internet here can be worse than dial-up. So I’m planning to add pages to the mirror sites a day later than they appear here. At least it’s not the monthly update I had planned.

Now about this chapter; you’ll notice a change in shading, partly because I wanted a softer feel for the nighttime scenes. I also started experimenting with textures in SAI, as well as creating my own textures and tools. While I’m writing this, I’m working on page 21, and my thoughts on the new shading… it’s very time consuming. I think I’ll go back to the regular cel-shading (with a few textures here and there). In the time it took me to finish 20 pages for Chapter 2, I think I could have finished 40 with my standard coloring style. But I needed to experiment.

I like to think of this chapter as an homage to “The Real World” or “Big Brother” (or similar shows). I’ve always liked the idea of individuals who are brought together and forced to live under the same roof. That may come from the many weeks I spent at summer camp. It was always exciting on the first day when you meet your fellow cabin-mates. I miss it. I think I would be a career camp counselor if I could.

Enough rambling.

I hope you enjoy Chapter 2.
