The bathroom was another one of my 3D models that received a facelift. Also, the first panel shows more of the hodgepodge castle, most importantly the structure on the right, which is the “residence hall.” I really want to make a proper model for the castle in Unreal Engine, almost like a game demo, but I know that will take time. So for now, I’m stuck to using SketchUp and Twinmotion.

Health news: Back in June it was mentioned that I may have glaucoma. The news was a shock, but at the time, it wasn’t a definite diagnosis. With my severe nearsightedness, it sometimes presents as other issues when that’s not the case. They ran some tests on me that day, which I retook a few weeks ago, and it was confirmed that I do have glaucoma. My eye doctor also noted that I do have vision loss, and while my eye pressure appeared normal that day, I was prescribed drops. I go back next month to see how things are going. I thought this would be something I would face much later in life, but not this early. At least with them suspecting it early, I can be treated and slow down the loss of my eyesight. I’m still in a state of denial of the whole thing, but I have personally noticed the changes in my eyesight. Some people go shopping or eat junk food as a way to deal with stress and anxiety. I like to detach myself from the world and create, whether it’s writing or drawing. But my mind does snap me back into reality and tells me, “You needs your eyes for these things. Time is ticking.”

I don’t want to end my commentary here on a boo-hoo-poopie note, so I’ll talk about something I’ve been waiting for. The 2024 eclipse! I’ve been planning to see the one in April for a while now, and since I’m less than 3 hours away from the totality range, I’ve been eagerly waiting to head towards Dallas to see it. I think I’ll be in an area where there will be almost 4 minutes or totality. :D
