Page 18 – Rendezvous
There were a lot of guesses where this was going, but it ended up being one of the most common, boring, overused scenes in writing. I did try to find it on TV Tropes, but had no luck. Maybe someone out there will have better luck finding it. If not, it should be on TV Tropes. So with this common scene playing out, any guesses on what’s going to happen next? It should be obvious.
Originally, this scene took place at the bottom of a stairwell, but when I designed the school, there was no place for a stairwell. *facepalm moment* I fought with the idea of a clichéd janitor’s closet, but my choices were limited. So I told myself that this is Amanita’s boring life, well away from all things magic. Let’s go for the mundane, typical high school life, clichés and all.
EDIT: I wasn’t able to finish the page for July 19th. It would have been page 19 on the 19th, too. My buffer has been gone, and Thursday was here before I knew it. A new page will be posted next week. (And hopefully this extra time will allow me to get a head-start on some more pages.) This was the first missed update all year. I was hoping to go a year without missing one, but at least I made it to July.
