It’s a messy kind of magic.
That potion… it looks like black ink with glitter to me (or used motor oil). I have an idea of what it is, but I don’t want to explain too much when it comes to the magic side of things. It does look similar to Bo’s “medicine,” though. ;)
Many things have happened since the last time I posted. One was my Cintiq suddenly dying on me. I mentioned it in the edit from last week’s page. I also talked about it some more on “July’s Sketches” post this week, even talking about some of my options, one being the online auction for Brazen Animation. Then Tuesday happened. When getting the mail at the Post Office, there was a notice to get a package from the main office. I waited for the mailman to return; when he did, I saw a large box labeled “Cintiq.” I was speechless. Who?! What?! How?! Thinking back now, I can barely remember the rest of my interaction in the Post Office, but I do remember signing for it and struggling to carry this box out to the car. Later, I learned who sent it to me, and that they wanted to remain anonymous, but I’ll say it again here: THANK YOU!!!!!! I was perfectly fine getting a used one, or saving up for a new Huion or XP-Pen, and they knew that, but they also saw this as the perfect birthday present and surprise for me. And talk about a surprise! The other side of my brain was looking forward to winning a used drawing monitor from the Brazen Animation auction, and then taking a day trip to Richardson, TX to pick it up, while also stopping by some shops in Plano, TX, or even Dallas, since I rarely visit the area. (Last time I was in Plano, I ate at the Yellowtail Sushi & Grill Buffet, and it was tasty. I’ve been wanting to eat there again. Oh well.)
