This is the last page I have finished. o_o I’ve been working on the next page since the end of last month, but was hit with bronchitis several days before Christmas. It’s left me very fatigued and overall in a “blah” mood. I still haven’t gotten over it completely, and my sisters (who got it before me) are still having issues. But my stepdad has started to get better, so I guess it depends on the person’s immune system.

In other news, I was extremely surprised this Christmas when I received a Surface Pro 4! I had been looking at them as a possible mobile art device since the release of the first Surface Pro. I have also been needing a laptop since my other one died this past summer. I won’t be using the Surface Pro 4 to make complete pages, though, but rather to work on layouts and roughs, then switching to my desktop and Cintiq for inking, coloring, and everything else. The SP4 will also allow me to be away from my desk to work elsewhere, or even when I’m out of town (which I will be from January 21-26). However, I wasn’t too thrilled with the standard nib that came with the pen, but after I switched to the 2H nib, it feels more like a Cintiq. Most people praise the friction of the new nibs, but I’ve been using Wacom products since the Intuos2, even placing mylar/acetate sheets over my tablets, and all I’ve known have been slick drawing surfaces.

Alright, time to work on the next page. I hope I can get back to my original productivity of finishing three pages a week. I REALLY want to start posting on Tuesdays again!
