When I wrote this scene, it was before I saw the “Santa Clarita Diet” series. But after I finished this page, I started thinking about the series, especially Mr. Ball Legs. (The mysterious ball Drew Barrymore’s character threw up, which later sprouted legs like those of a spider.) Though this “ball” here is nothing like that one. In the script, I described it like an egg, but when I was figuring out its appearance, I wanted something a little stranger or black opal-like. (“Otherworldly” was a side note to myself.)
I’m trying to get the annual Halloween image finished before next week. At first, I didn’t think I was going to draw one, but I came up with an idea at the last minute. ;D
