Last week, from sunup to sunset, I spent it outside building a deck/future-screen-porch. I have several heat rashes as a result of the waterproof sunscreen I used, that I know to never use again. (The waterproofing prevents the skin from sweating properly and BOOM! Prickly heat rash. At least I didn’t get a sunburn.) Now onto Wednesday this week, and I wake up a little earlier than usual. About a couple of hours later, I noticed that the vision of my right side in both eyes is messing up. I knew what was coming. A migraine. So I go lay back down, expecting to rest through it. Nope, not this time. I’m hit with pain over my left eye and a constant feeling of nausea. I just can’t seem to shake this, and it feels like it’s getting worse. I end up going to urgent care, was given a shot for the pain, and a prescription for nausea. By the time we reached the pharmacy, I was sweating profusely and extremely dizzy. It took all I had to remain standing. On the drive home, I sipped on ice water and had the AC full blast. Nothing stopped the sweating. As I entered the house, I made it to the kitchen where all that water came back up without much warning. *sigh* I take one of the pills for nausea, but that didn’t seem to help. After a 4 hour nap, I began vomiting every 30-40 min. It stopped around 9pm. The following day I was talking to my mom (who is a registered nurse) and told me to never get that shot again. Sweating and vomiting are some of the side effects. I probably ended up making myself feel worse by going to the doctor. I should have stayed home and suffered through it like I normally do. I still feel blah today, but I think that’s my abdominal muscles recovering. (Nalbuphine was the injection.)

In other news, I bought a weighted blanket to help me sleep at night. It was the worst night’s sleep I’ve ever had. Returning that thing as soon as I can.
