Page 8 – You, Too
When I first started the comic, I didn’t use any references or 3D models. (Which is painfully obvious.) But slowly I discovered programs like SketchUp and DAZ, and recently Twinmotion. Twinmotion has been more of a game-changer for me. Starting with the last chapter, I’ve been building and fixing some of my older “sets” for the comic. Though I still redraw the backgrounds to fit my style, it has cut down on the time I spent drawing everything from nothing. I’ve seen other comic artists create scenes and environments using the Unreal game engine, but I still haven’t ventured into that side of things. Twinmotion is more user-friendly and more of my speed. I should probably look more at the lessons on Unreal’s site. I watched one and it made me think, “Yeah, I can do that!” Then I instantly became overwhelmed and forgot everything.
SketchUp + Twinmotion = Updated infirmary reference for my comic.
A major upgrade from the original infirmary in my comic. *cringe*https://t.co/DNriF2gIFw #WorkSmarterNotHarder pic.twitter.com/f9N3ru3vuC
