Update 2
I want to apologize for the lack of updates on the situation here. I’m still living with my grandmother and helping with her care. It’s been very draining on my motivation, but I’m still hanging in there. I do have my computer at her house now, yet with my grandmother needing constant attention, I’ve only managed to finish five pages in the past few months. (This image here I threw together in 50 min while she took a nap.) My plan to get a Surface Pro 2 (or Surface 3) was placed on the back-burner, as I had to deal with eye appointments and a surprise visit to a retina specialist. Good news, my retinas are fine, considering how bad my eyes are. The bad news, my eyes got a little worse since my last eye exam. Oh well. That was to be expected.
In other news, I did attend Intervention this year. This was actually the first convention I’ve been to. The panels were very informative and the Exhibition Hall was filled with many creative people. So much energy and artistry. I have entertained the idea of one day having my own table at a convention, but honestly, my main goal is to start updating again.
Back to my current situation, I still don’t have the internet at my grandmother’s. After being promised several times since I started staying there, I’m not sure if I will ever get it. And last month my laptop decided it no longer wanted to turn on. I keep thinking, “What else can go wrong now?!” But I keep fighting to get some work done on these pages. There’s a chance that things will change soon, perhaps in another month or two. Because as of now, something has to give with my grandmother. She’s not doing too well and it’s taking a large toll on my aunt and me. I don’t want this post to be a pity-party. I just want to give an update on the reason behind my extended hiatus. I am incredibly sorry. My hands are tied, and at times I feel like I’m drowning. But I keep holding on to the fact that this is a temporary situation, and bluer skies are on the horizon.
I want to give a huge thank you to those still supporting me on Patreon. You don’t have to support me during this hiatus, and yet you are. I am baffled and surprised by the support. (Either that or you forgot you were supporting me.)
Oh, I do have Twitter on my phone now, so I’ll try to post more to keep some kind of connection to the internet going.
I think that’s all I wanted to say. Again, thank you all for your patience with me during this hiatus.
