I’m trying to get this update out the door this morning. The internet at my mom’s house is spotty at times, and it took me about 15 min to get connected. After all of that, I usually have about 30 min before I’m booted and have to try to reconnect all over again. If things get really bad, I’ll update from my phone. I’ve had to post updates like that in the past, so I know it’s doable. *nod-nod*

Back from the long trip. Sorry for the missed update, things got complicated.

(Journal-esque section in 3, 2, 1.)

I made a lengthy post on Patreon talking about my recent trip; the ups and downs. It gets really heavy, and for this reason, it’s not a public post. I will say that after I made it to my mom’s house, I found out that my aunt (on my dad’s side) passed away this week. She was the one who had been diagnosed with a similar cancer as me, though hers, as I was told, was Stage 3, while mine was Stage 2. I would visit her every time I visited my family, and we would talk about how we were feeling and other things. I think her cancer was worse than I was told, and the updates I received about her weren’t encouraging. Then on this recent trip, I learned she had stopped getting out of bed and stopped eating. My dad called me Tuesday to inform me that she had passed. I have a strange sense of survivor’s guilt throughout all of this, yet another voice keeps saying how that could’ve been me if I hadn’t taken my symptoms as serious as I did.

(End of journal-esque section.)

I’m currently working on the final 2 pages of this chapter! (And I’m ready to toss this Ugee tablet in the garbage…) 💀
