Clip Studio Paint Ver. 5 came out this week. I’m really loving the new features, especially the Smart Shape addition to brushes. It can work on a raster layer, and right after you make the stroke, you can edit it like a vector, but once you move on, it remains a raster with no more editing. It’s going to make drawing cups, plates, bracelets, and many other things easier. It won’t be my standard, draw a line, Ctrl+Z, draw a line, Ctrl+Z, draw a line, Ctrl+Z, draw a line, continue on, rinse, repeat. I used to draw on vector layers, but some of my “natural” feeling brushes felt less natural, so I switched back to raster layers. I can’t wait to really test drive this feature.

About my cell phone woes, I think I’m going to get a Moto G (Unlocked). It’s not too expensive, and the reviews are on the positive side, for the most part. My mind’s hands did get all grabby for a Google Pixel or a OnePlus, but then came the sticker shock. So far out of my price range that it left the solar system. I have until April 1st to make my decision, and with decisions like this, I can never make up my mind. So many choices out there. D:

They’ve added a ridiculous fee (30%?) that’s taken from the amount that would go towards supporting the comic. I do have the option to increase my prices to offset this fee, which is why you may see higher prices on an Apple device. You can still use the app to view content, but creators are urging new patrons to join using a web browser or the Android app. I wanted to give a warning to possible supporters about this blah thing.
