I’ve been watching way too much Mad Men lately. (On the 4th season in less than two weeks. *twitches* ) I know I’m behind on the parody bandwagon, but it was something I’ve been itching to do.

It will be a while before we see her, but I like to show a morsel or two of some upcoming characters.
Character from the upcoming mini comic “Monster Brigade.” It should be obvious who this fellow is a parody of, but if you don’t know, search for the movie “Labyrinth,” as well as a dash of Pete Burns from the band Dead Or Alive.
I needed a project to test out a new video editing software, so why not record myself working on a page? I added the commentary at the last minute. I hope no typos slipped past me.

A while back on the Comic Dish forum, a community event was started that focused on the creation of a promotional poster. Though it’s been a while since the event started, I’m still working on mine.
Here’s what I have so far.
It’s coming along… slowly. But I’ll have it finished someday!
After the first inked version, the file sat untouched for a few months. I opened it the other day and realized that I draw some of the characters a little different now. So I fixed a few things. Most notably, Amanita.
What a difference a few months can make.
“Monster Brigade” will be a mini comic that will run in between the main chapters. I will also be using this little comic to help me learn Manga Studio, as well as mess with some design and inking concepts.

I’m going to start updating the blog here with concept art and other random doodles. So to start things off, here’s a look at the “Cyborg.” He’s a servant for The Superior Court of The Supernatural. He’ll make his first appearance in Chapter 2, Page 5.
