Monster Soup

This here is Oliver, Jasmine’s younger brother. He’s the one responsible for all of the Z.A.’s residents. Another side note, the young man on the left in the first panel is Oliver’s son (who we first saw on Page 54.) Final side note, someone else smokes black cigarettes. (Wow, that’s some wonky, early art.)

I set a small challenge for myself in the pages to follow: no gradients, textures, airbrushes, or blur tools. I’ll be using three of my basic inking tools, and will try my hardest to stick to the rules. Right now, next week’s page is already finished. :D The challenge actually sped up my process.

If you follow me on Twitter, you may have heard my plan of adding an epilogue to this chapter. It was a scene planned for later on in the comic, but I felt better nestling it in between Chapter 6 and 7.
