Page 21 – The Monster King
It’s before midnight my time, which means it’s still Friday. ;D
The Monster King was a character from early stages of the comic. Back when I wanted to make a side-comic called Monster Brigade, which was supposed to be posted in between the main comic’s chapters. It dealt with those who lived under the castle. The King was inspired by many things, but the obvious being The Goblin King from “Labyrinth.”

I hadn’t even started coloring Patreon’s page until today. Nearly 8 hours later, and I’m calling that one finished. It’s not that I put things off to the last minute, I had a somewhat busy week. One thing was a small surprise visit to the dentist. Two of my root canals have failed, and they say I’ll need two more, while one tooth needs a filling. I got my filling scheduled for Monday, so no real issue there, but they want me to see an endodontist to save the failed root canals, which will cost more than the root canals themselves. $8k?!?!?! Never gonna happen. It probably would have been cheaper to get them removed from the start and then implants. As it stands, I will probably get extractions when the pain begins to become unbearable. Until that happens, I’m keeping these failures for as long as I can. Oh, and my colonoscopy is scheduled for July 24th, and that happens to be on a Friday, so I might skip the update that day. I’m trying not to think about the procedure, because when I do, the anxiety becomes too much and I want to mentally shutdown for hours.
