Page 4 – Some Assistance
EDIT: I’ve been doing some tinkering on the site this weekend. I added a landing page, which ultimately hid the home page and the blog with it. I plan to add a link to the blog soon. But with this change, I noticed that those who have the site in their bookmarks will be sent to the new landing page.
The new link to the latest page: https://monstersoupcomic.com/?latest
Editing your bookmark to use that link will skip the landing page and send you to the latest page.

So many more tentacles, and how kind of them to light the way.
Last week, I talked about my concern over Clip Studio Paint about their perpetual license vs. the Update Pass. I listened to everyone’s feedback, while even digging further on the Pros and Cons of each. I found out that the Update Pass only receives about three updates throughout the year. That voice in the back of my mind keeps whispering, “Perpetual License is the best.” I also added a note to my post from last week that it seems when new versions do come out, Celsys usually has the upgrades at 30% off. And while it’s not the $33 increase like I initially thought, it’s still and increase of $8, yet this is all speculation at the moment.
To the supporter who gave me extra for the Version 5 upgrade, again, thank you!

My sister called me this past week, telling me how my site’s layout is terrible. I don’t think I heard anything positive during her tear-down. Then she told me she was looking at my site on her phone. Yuuup. This site looks really bad on phones. I have been wanting to redo things around here so it would look better on phones and tablets, but I also realize how time-consuming that would be. My sister then proceeded to rewrite my About Me section using ChatGPT. I told her, “Hell no!” Not using that. I then told her that personal comic sites rarely upgrade or change too much since it’s usually the artist who has to do everything. Again, it’s time-consuming. Then she told me to “use ChatGPT to help.” 💀

And a refresher on what she once looked like:

ATTENTION! If you want to support the comic, I strongly urge not joining through the Patreon app from Apple. They’ve added a ridiculous fee, which is taken from the amount that would go to me. I do have the option to increase my prices to offset this fee, but I don’t want to cater to this shitty Apple scheme. Instead, I wanted to give a warning to possible supporters about this blah thing.
✨ Page 5 ✨ is on Patreon for $1+ tiers, plus a bonus image of the page’s original sketch.
