And with this page, Chapter 12 is complete!

From a clean modern look, to the old undercroft, the castle contains various snapshots from different eras. As with other locations seen throughout the comic, I decided to update the area where the mysterious lady slumbers. Originally, the room looked massive and bare, yet in my mind, I had the idea of it being in the undercroft of the castle. Ever since I started utilizing Twinmotion and SketchUp, I’ve been slowly building sets for my scenes. Though I use 3D models to help with backgrounds, I still like to paint and redraw over them to fit my style a little better. Even with this method, the page still took me 13 hours to finish. Comparing that to drawing from scratch… I don’t want to take a month to finish a page. I have also looked at the behind-the-scenes for 2D animated shows and movies, focusing mainly on how the background artists utilize 3D.

And while I knew there had to be a trope about people in water/liquid filled tanks, I didn’t know the name until recently. “People Jars.”

I’m already working on Chapter 13 and Chapter 2 for BISQUE. It’s going to be tough, but I think I’m going to focus on the main comic first, since it’s more of a priority. In the meantime, I’ll be posting those behind-the-scenes sneak peaks on Patreon. Speaking of which…

Oh, another thing going on are the ads on the site (and BISQUE’S site). I decided to stop dragging my heels and try my hand at some advertising. I’m still getting the hang of ComicAd Network’s system. I never used Project Wonderful, but from what I’ve heard it’s very similar.

The difference in my sites’ stats is stark. I know there isn’t much content for BISQUE yet, but that voice in the back of my head keeps whispering, “No one cares.” However, the main comic also has over 500 pages, so there’s that. More pages, more views, right? (There I go again, over-analyzing stats and what they all mean. It’s not a healthy mindset for me. *smacks self* Stop it.)

Last thing, Top Webcomics has gone through an overhaul, and with it, I’ve decided to start switching up my vote incentives more frequently. There might be random sketches and random commentary, all of which will never repeat. (At least, as long as I can remember what I’m posting there. Ha!)
